First Sunday Arts festival 7/1/12 – The best place to start your July in Annapolis

A Fun Thing to Do This July Holiday Weekend… Enjoy Annapolis’ First Sunday Arts Festival … Sunday, July 1 from Noon to 5pm

Annapolis is a great place to for our Nation’s birthday, and has many celebration events going on for Independence weekend, including the First Sunday Arts Festival. For five hours – from noon until five — It’s the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon outdoors surrounded by talented performers, musicians, cafes and over 100 booths of arts and crafts.

Live Entertainment includes…

· Bens Bones with Dan Haas – accomplished young singer/songwriter who blends elements of pop, rock, and soul with standout vocal performances has appeared across the country and will perform — from 12-noon – 1:30 p.m.

· Tom Lagana Quartet – a modern jazz group whose eclectic compositions range from jazz to Afro-Cuban will perform from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

· Footworks – Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble presents a uniquely American story: an exuberant fusion of live music, comedy, singing, and a dazzling array of percussive dance forms rooted in different cultures. Since 1979, Footworks has represented American culture internationally, including a Smithsonian Institution tour of Japan, and as guest artists with Riverdance in London. Founder and Artist Director Eileen Carson is an NEA Choreography Fellow.– performing at 2:00 p.m. .
